Today we announce Cottee Parker Architects first international studio, taking our reputation for innovative architecture, world-class mixed-use precincts, and future living spaces to Aotearoa.
Based in Auckland, the studio will be led by our newest equity Director and industry leader, David Thornton. No stranger to the local market, David has enjoyed a career spanning over 25 years, with a legacy of leading mixed-use, retail, commercial and residential projects, as well as developing retail master-planning with strategic outcomes that have been the catalyst for bringing international brands to New Zealand’s shores.

As the practice’s first international studio, the Auckland team is looking forward to collaborating with our Australian studios to deliver design solutions that provide both international reach sought by New Zealand clients, but with the confidence of local expertise and delivery capability,” says director David Thornton.
We have already attracted some of New Zealand’s best design talent to drive the expansion of our practice. With studio’s in Australia’s major cities including Brisbane, Gold Cost, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, and now Auckland NZ, our practice will draw on local perspectives combined with our already established reputation as a trusted design partner.
